Certifications

The Sächsische Institut für die Druckindustrie (SID) offers certifications for offset and digital printing in accordance with the ISO 12647 series of standards.

 

PSO for paper (ISO 12647-2)

With the commitment to work continuously according to the technological parameters your company is allowed to use the certificate of conformity for marketing and for forensic purposes during lawsuits.

The certificate of conformity according to ISO 12647-2 applies to

  • The handling of delivered print files
  • The processing and output of the print files for contract proofs and production printing
  • The colour accuracy of contract proofs
  • The colour reproduction in the production printing process

PSO for metal decoration printing (ISO 12647-9)

The certificate of conformity according to ISO 12647-9 applies to

  • The handling of delivered print files
  • The processing and output of the print files for contract proofs and production printing
  • The colour accuracy of contract proofs
  • The colour reproduction in the production printing process

Digitally printed data (ISO 12647-8)

Certifying the process of digitally printed data according to ISO 12647-8 applies to

  • The handling of delivered print files
  • The processing and output of the print files for digital printing
  • The colour reproduction and accuracy in the digital printing process
  • The homogenity and stability or the colour reproduction

The conformity to PSO for paper according to ISO 12647-2, to PSO for metal decoration printing according to ISO 12647-9 and to printing of digital data according to ISO 12647-8 has to be proven on a regular basis every two years. The verification is done by the testing laboratory printing quality and processing of the SID.

The laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the German accreditation body DAkkS.

The accreditation is valid for the named testing procedures.

Printing Quality:

  • Optical density of process colours
  • Dot gain
  • Chromaticity coordinate [L*a*b* value]

Conformity Certification in accordance with ISO 12647
