The Polygraphische innovative Technik Leipzig GmbH (PITSID) was founded as a profit-oriented subsidiary by splitting from the SID. The registered Leipzig POLYGRAPH Association is the sole proprietor of PITSID.

PITSID produces and markets innovative products (special measuring equipment, machine assemblies and others), which have been developed by the SID as results of its research activities.
